Job Description:

You’ll play a vital role in the heart of our operations—receiving deliveries, checking stock, and making sure our warehouse is clean, organised, and running like a dream. You’ll support accurate stock tracking, traceability, and quality control to help keep our production team moving at pace.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods In & Stock Handling:

• Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries—checking product quality, pack size, quantity, and expiry/batch information.
• Ensure accurate labelling of all goods received, including batch/lot numbers, best before dates and storage location.
• Record deliveries accurately using our digital inventory system (full training provided).
• Report any delivery issues, shortages or damaged goods to your line manager immediately.

Stock Organisation & Warehouse Duties:

• Store ingredients in the correct locations (e.g., Dry Store, Fridge, Freezer) based on product requirements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse area that meets food safety standards.
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
• Assist with internal stock transfers to production areas and coordinate safe, efficient movement of ingredients.

Inventory Support:

• Help maintain accurate stock levels by updating the system after each delivery.
• Assist with regular stock takes and spot checks as required.
• Flag low stock levels or discrepancies to your line manager.

Batch Tracking & Traceability:

• Label and log batch information for all incoming goods to support full ingredient traceability.
• Support production teams by selecting and issuing correct ingredient batches when required.
• Help with traceability tasks as required

Health, Safety & Hygiene:

• Always follow food safety, health & safety, and hygiene procedures in line with bakery standards.
• Participate in cleaning routines for the warehouse and storage areas.

Who we're looking for:

• Someone reliable, punctual, and happy to roll up their sleeves.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, or food production environment.
• Cybake Bakery Management Software experience would be a big plus - but not essential, full training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail—you’ll be handling important data like batch numbers and expiry dates.
• IT skills and willingness to learn digital inventory systems.
• Positive attitude, team player, and able to follow structured routines and procedures.
