Job Description: Picking and Packing Operative (With Driving Capabilities).

Are you the kind of person who loves getting things just right? Do you take pride in packing up goodies that make people’s mouths water? Well, we need someone like you to join our team and help us send out our delicious Dougies Goodies to the world! No experience in picking or packing? No problem – if you’re eager to learn and can handle a few cakes without eating them all, we’re interested. This role is primarily for someone to work in our picking and packing team, we also need this person to have driving capabilities so, if required - they can carry out some deliveries in the event one of our drivers is sick or away sunbathing! ☀️

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick of the Crop: Hand-select wholesale orders from our stock like a pro, ensuring every item is spot on.
• Wrap it Up: Pack everything neatly and safely, so our sweet treats arrive in tip-top shape – no squashed cupcakes allowed!
• Label Legend: Slap on those labels accurately and send those parcels on their merry way.
• Cake Courier: Although this isn't your primary role, you may be required to do some Dougies deliveries during busy periods or when our drivers are sick / sunbathing!
• Team Spirit: Help your teammates get those orders out the door in a flash. We’re all about teamwork here!
• Keep it Clean: Tidy workspace, tidy mind. Follow food safety and hygiene rules to keep our kitchen sparkling.
• Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Spotted an issue? Give us a shout, and we’ll fix it faster than you can say "chocolate éclair."
• Ready to Learn: We’re all about growing and improving – so bring your best attitude and a willingness to pick up new skills!

Shift Patterns: 

Our picking and packing roles will have you working shifts between 6am and 8pm – yes, that’s right, you could be helping send-off sweet treats as the sun rises, or boxing up goodies as the day winds down. Whether you’re up with the birds or prefer a little extra beauty sleep, you’ll be making sure our cakes and bakes get where they need to go. So, grab your coffee (or three) and get ready to roll with the dough at any time of day! 🍰

Qualifications:

• Experience in picking/packing? Great! No experience? Also great! We’re here to show you the ropes.
• Sharp eye for detail – because no one wants to miss out on their cake.
• Full Clean Driving License 
• Organised, quick on your feet, and able to handle a little pressure.
• A team player with good vibes and better communication.
• Physically fit enough to lift boxes of sweet goodness without breaking a sweat.
