Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann takes over Belfast from Sunday 2nd to Sunday 9th of August, and the whole city centre will be pedestrianised for the week, with roads closed to traffic from 6am on the Sunday through to the Monday after.
So, what do you do if you fancy seeing a bit of Belfast between Fleadh celebrations? Don't worry we have you covered with five walkable activities 🙌🏻

About 20–25 minutes on foot from the city centre, during Fleadh week, Titanic Belfast is open 8.30am–7.30pm daily, and SS Nomadic runs extended hours too!
Plenty of time to fit in between Fleadh celebrations and a must-see when you are in Belfast 🙌🏻

Free to enter, and about a 20-minute walk south of the city centre. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–5pm, quick tip! It's closed on Mondays!
The Botanic gardens are open every day and make a nice spot to sit down, enjoy a bite to eat and take in the greenery and flowers around you 🪴
3. St George's Market 📍
Just a quick 10-minute walk from City Hall, the market only runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday's Variety Market runs 6am–3pm, Saturday's Food and Craft Market runs 9am–3pm, and the Sunday Market runs 10am–4pm!

A good option if you want a change of pace from the music and want to learn a hit of histoty surrounding the famous jail 🚨
5. Cathedral Quarter Street Art 🖼️
Right in the middle of the action, so no real journey required!
The Cathedral Quarter is packed with murals and street art down its side streets and alleyways, and it's free to wander at any time of day! A great way to fill time between competitions and OH! It happens to be home to some of Belfast’s most well known bars and there will be plenty of street musicians playing in this area too 👀 🎶
Opening hours could change closer to the date, so it's worth a quick double check online before heading out. If you need a sweet treat o keep you going between stops, you'll find us in three locations across Belfast, our retail store located on Fountain Street, CastleCourt pop-up store and our pop-up stall at the ICC Belfast 🍰
